Summary

Hubbub are focused on inspiring the public to take action and build habits that are good for the environment and society as a whole. They approached us to design and facilitate a day-long workshop which would help their team build a clear narrative linking the issue of climate change to people’s everyday lives, and promote tangible actions individuals can take to live more sustainably. This narrative needed to resonate with the public, and be consistent with Hubbub’s brand and playful approach to communications.

We were excited to take the challenge on, and designed a bespoke workshop for Hubbub.

We got to grips with the latest academic research, by carrying out a literature review on public attitudes to climate change and environmental messaging, which we shared with Hubbub as an additional deliverable.

Through the hands-on workshop, we equipped the Hubbub team with techniques to improve their storytelling, and communicate in a way that could spark “ah-ha” moments in the audience about environmental issues, and inspire change. We also explored the barriers and opportunities for messaging on climate change, and the role that novel imagery could play in illustrating the negative impact of the climate crisis.
