The Job

We work with charities, big and small, to help them tell their story and reach a wide audience to gather support for their cause.

And we’re looking for an original, imaginative, passionate and hard-working Creative Strategist to join our team.

Your primary role initially will be to support the Creative Director across all our projects, including brainstorming, writing and research. Over time, you’ll progress to writing bigger pieces and managing your own projects.

We’ll work hard to make sure you’re getting lots of opportunities to develop the skills you’re interested in, work on projects and for causes you’re passionate about, and get to contribute to our work in a meaningful way right from the start. Oh and get to do stuff just because it’s fun, interesting and a bit different to anything you’ve done before, because that’s important too!

About us

Catsnake is a story agency for the third sector. We use a combination of storytelling, in depth research, behavioural psychology and rigorous creative systems to produce campaigns, films and strategies for charities like UNICEF-UK, WWF, the RSPB, Scope, Amnesty, the National Trust, St Mungo’s and many more. 

Our focus is on telling stories that change beliefs and behaviour. We believe deeply in the power of narratives to engage, entertain and create lasting change for our communities, our environment and our collective future.

But mostly, we’re a nice bunch of fun lovin’, hard workin’, tea drinkin’ folk, who are lucky enough to spend our time telling stories to help causes we care about.

About you

The only firm requirement for the role is a passion for well-told stories.

You could be new to the industry; have a few years under your belt; or someone looking for a new type of challenge – as long as you can spin a yarn we’d like to meet you.

Beyond this we’re looking for someone with a mix of creative and analytical skills – able to write powerful copy but also comfortable structuring a logical argument; full of imagination and creativity but also some basic statistical proficiency; someone who reads both broadly and compulsively!

Technical stuff

£24k per annum
Full Time (5 days per week)
You do need to be based in London and available to come into the office at least 3 days a week (it’s a pretty nice one in Somerset House though!).

The Process

Applications will close at midnight on Sunday 19th of September.

After the application window has closed, we’ll identify a shortlist of candidates. These candidates will be invited to interview in w/c 27th and asked to complete a couple of short tasks remotely.

Ideally, you’ll be available to start from mid-October, but there is some flexibility on this.
